-14- ABSTRACT The present invention discloses methods for inhibiting the formation of sulfuric acid mist in fossil fuel combustion gases. Volatile amines, having a boiling point of 350°F or less, are added to the combustion gases to remove sulfur trioxide which will form the sulfuric acid mist.
