An exercising weight (10) comprises unitary grip (12) and weight portions (14). The grip portion (12) is rigidly mounted at an upper end of the weight portion (14) and comprises an elongate cross member (16) and elongate side members (18, 20) extending downwardly and inwardly from ends of the cross member (16) to the upper end of the weight portion (14). The weight portion (14) extends downwardly and outwardly from the upper end to a planar base (34). The weight portion (14) comprises an outer shell (36} including . a door (40, 42) which permits weighted units (38) of different weights to be placed in the shell (36).
