A method is disclosed for producing hydrocarbon fluid, such as crude oil and/or natural gas, through a well or well cluster of which the trajectory is at least partly defined and iteratively optimized by an well trajectory optimization algorithm which is coupled to a finite difference reservoir simulation program that represents a hydrocarbon fluid containing reservoir as a set of grid cells with a specified permeability and fluid content and which algorithm: provides a virtual well (101) with a series of virtual well branches ( 102 ) that extend into cells in the vicinity of inflow points of the virtual well (101); and subsequently iteratively moves the inflow points of the virtual well or well cluster through the reservoir in order to optimize a reservoir depletion strategy that provides an optimized life cycle value of the well and/or well cluster and/or optimized NPV of the produced crude oil and/or natural gas.
L'invention porte sur un procédé pour produire un hydrocarbure fluide tel que du pétrole brut et/ou du gaz naturel, par l'intermédiaire d'un puits ou d'un groupe de puits dont la trajectoire est au moins partiellement définie et optimisée de manière itérative par un algorithme d'optimisation de trajectoire de puits qui est couplé à un programme de simulation de réservoir utilisant la méthode des différences finies qui représente un réservoir contenant un hydrocarbure fluide sous forme d'un ensemble de mailles avec une perméabilité spécifiée et une teneur en fluide spécifiée et lequel algorithme dote un puits virtuel (101) d'une série de ramifications de puits virtuelles (102) qui s'étendent dans des mailles au voisinage de points de venue du puits virtuel (101) ; et déplace ensuite de manière itérative les points de venue du puits ou groupe de puits virtuel à travers le réservoir afin d'optimiser une stratégie de déclin du réservoir qui fournit une valeur de cycle de vie optimisée du puits et/ou groupe de puits et/ou une NVP optimisée du pétrole brut produit et/ou du gaz naturel produit.
