2105278 9316079 PCTABS00025 Triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-2-sulfonamides of formula (I), in which R1 and R2 independently of one another are hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, C1-C4haloalkoxy, C1-C4alkoxy-C1-C4-alkyl, nitro, phenyl or S(O)nR3; R3 is C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl, C2-C4alkenyl, C2-C4alkynyl, benzyl or optionally substituted phenyl; n is the number 0, 1 or 2; R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 independently of one another are hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl; and X and Y independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C4alkyl or C3-C6cycloalkyl; and the agrochemically acceptable salts of these compounds, with the proviso that the radicals X and Y are not simultaneously hydrogen, have herbicidal properties pre- and post-emergence and are readily degradable. Described are the preparation of these compounds and their use as herbicidal active ingredients.
