The invention concerns a method and a device for constructing a low-altitude flight path to be followed by an aircraft. The device (1) comprises a database (3) containing a terrain profile concerning the terrain to be flown over by the aircraft, a set of data sources (5), first means (6) for determining a lateral trajectory of the flight path, and second means (7) for determining a vertical trajectory of the flight path, said second means (7) being formed to as to determine the vertical trajectory during the aircraft flight, successively as the flight proceeds, segment by segment, and comprising an element (14) for retrieving from the database (3) a profile section, and an element (15) for determining a vertical trajectory segment, using the retrieved profile section, based on the climb-out and let-down performances of the aircraft derived from said set (5) of data sources.

Procédé et dispositif pour construire une trajectoire de vol à basse altitude destinée à être suivie par un aéronef. Le dispositif (1) comporte une base de données (3) contenant un profil de terrain relatif à un terrain à survoler par l'aéronef, un ensemble (5) de sources d'informations, un premier moyen (6) pour déterminer une trajectoire latérale de la trajectoire de vol, et un deuxième moyen (7) pour déterminer une trajectoire verticale de la trajectoire de vol, ce deuxième moyen (7) étant formé de manière à déterminer la trajectoire verticale lors d'un vol de l'aéronef, de façon successive au fur et à mesure du vol, tronçon par tronçon, et comportant un élément (14) pour extraire de la base de données (3) une section de profil, et un élément (15) pour déterminer un tronçon de trajectoire verticale, à l'aide de la section de profil ainsi extraite, en fonction de performances de montée et de descente de l'aéronef, issues dudit ensemble (5) de sources d'informations.
