A method and apparatus for designing and editing a distribution system for a building is disclosed. Elements of such distribution systems and requirements of relevant standard are stored in a computer's memory (20-23,33). Building parameters (2) are entered into a computer manually (1). The users identify the standard to be followed and the element to be optimized. The system divides the building into sections (4) as appropriate to the user identified standard. The system then computes layout needed to comply with the selected standard. The layout is routed (18- 33) and sized to avoid building structural members, yet the elements of the layout are optimized for size and length. The apparatus prints out a hard copy of the design layout which can include an elements listing (120-129) needed to complete the system. The design layout as well as the building parameters can be edited. The edited layout is checked for compliance with the identified standard as well as avoidance of building parameters.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil pour concevoir et modifier par ordinateur un réseau de distribution d'un bâtiment. A cet effet, les éléments des réseaux de distribution et les exigences de la norme pertinente sont stockés dans une mémoire de l'ordinateur. Les paramètres relatifs au bâtiment sont introduits dans un ordinateur manuellement. L'utilisateur identifie la norme à suivre et l'élément à optimiser. Le système divise le bâtiment en sections appropriées conformément à la norme identifiée par l'utilisateur. Le système calcule ensuite le tracé nécessaire pour que le réseau soit conforme à la norme choisie. Le tracé est adapté du point de vue de son cheminement et de sa taille pour éviter les éléments de la stucture du bâtiment, tandis que les éléments du tracé sont optimisés du point de vue de leur taille et de leur longueur. L'appareil imprime une copie papier du tracé ainsi conçu, cette copie pouvant contenir une liste des éléments nécessaires pour la réalisation du réseau dans son entier. Le tracé ainsi conçu et les paramètres du bâtiment peuvent être modifiés. Le tracé est contrôlé pour s'assurer de sa conformité avec la norme identifiée ainsi que pour tenir compte des paramètres du bâtiment relatifs aux éléments de structure à éviter.
