This invention relates to new compounds and their pharmaceutical use, and to the pharmaceutical use of known compounds, which compounds inhibit certain transmembrane potassium currents in the atrium of the heart of a mammal without significantly affecting other ion channels, for the treatment of heart disease particularly atrial fibrillation.
