Implants and methods for positioning the implant facilitate placement and guiding of the implant to an implantation location adjacent the spinal column. The implant (50) includes a spinal rod having at least one passage (60) therethrough for receiving a guiding member (10, 10') extending from the surgical location. The implant (50) is moveable along the guiding member (10, 10') to the surgical location for securement with a bone anchor (32, 32') engaged to the patient.

Les implants et les procédés de positionnement de l'implant selon l~invention facilitent la mise en place et le guidage de l'implant dans un emplacement d'implantation adjacent à la colonne vertébrale. L'implant (50) comporte une tige vertébrale traversée par au moins un passage (60) pour recevoir un organe de guidage (10, 10') s'étendant depuis l'emplacement chirurgical. L'implant (50) peut être déplacé le long de l'organe de guidage (10, 10') jusqu'à l'emplacement chirurgical de manière à être fixé à un moyen d'ancrage osseux (32, 32') fixé au patient.
