A structure for allowing a user of a chair to always take an optimal sitting position. A link mechanism used for a chair is provided with a first link having one end connected to a bottom surface of a link for supporting a seat surface section of the chair, a second link having one end connected to the other end of the first link, a first joint section for rotatably interconnecting the first link and the second link, a second joint section provided to the other end of the second link, and a first elastic resistance unit for applying elasticity in a rotational direction to the second joint section.
