The methods and systems described herein include illustrative embodiments that overcome the limitations of the prior art by employing a communications network (e.g., the Internet) and/or universal communications protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.) to acquire current and accurate Facility Management Information (FMI) associated with one or more facility objects, wherein the FMI may include data representing a physical characteristic, a condition, functional adequacy, and/or a project list associated with the one or more facility objects.
