The invention relates to a process for removing dust from a moving paper web, particularly a tissue web, where the air moving along with the web and which has a high dust content is separated from the boundary layer. It is primarily characterised by the paper web 4 running at a tangent onto and off the curved guide surface 18 of a separating box 9, designed as a stabiliser, and by the air being deflected out of the boundary layer and removed by the separating box 9. The invention also relates to a device for implementing the process, with a first separating box 9 mounted across the running direction of the paper web 4.
