The invention concerns a process for the hydrothermal production of potassium silicate solutions with high SiO2 mol ratios by the hydrothermal reaction of quartz sand with aqueous potassium hydroxide solutions in the range from 150 to 300 °C and the pressures of satured water vapour corresponding to these temperatures in a pressure reactor, in which the potassium silicate solutions thus-obtained, which have SiO2;K2O mol ratios of less than 2.75:1, are then converted with a quartz tempered at temperatures in the range from over 1100 °C to the melting point, whereby the temperatures and pressures are also kept within the aforementioned ranges.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention hydrothermale de solutions de silicate de potassium à rapports molaires SiO2:K2O élevés, par réaction hydrothermale du sable quartzeux avec des solutions aqueuses d'hydroxyde de potassium à des températures comprises entre 150 et 300 °C et sous des pressions de vapeur d'eau saturée correspondant à ces températures, en opérant dans un réacteur à pression, caractérisé en ce qu'on fait réagir ensuite les solutions de silicate de potassium ainsi obtenues, lesquelles présentent des rapports molaires SiO2:K2) inférieurs à 2,75:1, avec un quartz recuit à des températures comprises entre des valeurs supérieures à 1100 °C et le point de fusion, les températures et les pressions intervenant dans la réaction étant, de même, maintenues dans les plages précitées.
