A normalisation apparatus arranged to normalise a first signal in relation to a second signal, the apparatus comprising a comparator arranged to discriminate the first signal, characterised in that the first signal is digital and the normalisation apparatus further comprises means for spreading th4e first signal over a predetermined energy distribution, and means for automatically adjusting a discrimination level of the comparator in response to a property of the second signal such that a proportion of the distributed signal is discarded by the comparator.
Appareil de normalisation d'un premier signal par rapport à un deuxième signal. Ledit appareil comprend un comparateur conçu pour discriminer le premier signal, lequel est un signal numérique. Il comporte également un moyen pour étaler le premier signal selon une répartition d'énergie prédéterminée, et un moyen pour régler automatiquement un niveau de discrimination du comparateur en fonction de la propriété d'un deuxième signal, de manière qu'une partie du signal réparti soit éliminée par le comparateur.
