The invention concerns a method for preparing an emulsified fuel, such as for example a water-in-diesel oil or a water-in-gasoline emulsion, to be used for powering spark ignition engines or in energy-producing appliances. The invention aims at enabling the production on an industrial scale of emulsions stable for at least four months, wherein the external phase is organic and the internal phase aqueous. Said aim is achieved by the inventive method which consists in mixing the organic phase, the aqueous phase and additives to homogenise into a volume V of liquid comprising the organic phase and the additives by circulating the latter at a homogenising capacity at a flow rate Qc such that the ratio Qc/V >/= 100<h-1>, in circulating the homogenised liquid in an external branch loop comprising an emulsifier system with a flow rate Qcirc such that the ratio V/Qcirc ranges between 0 and 2 h, and in supplying the branch loop with water upstream of the emulsifier system, until the desired characteristics of storage stability for the emulsion are obtained. The invention also concerns the device for implementing said method.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un combustible émulsionné, c'est-à-dire par exemple une émulsion eau dans gazole ou eau dans essence, utilisable pour l'alimentation des moteurs à explosion ou des appareils de production d'énergie. Le but visé par l'invention est de permettre la préparation à l'échelle industrielle d'émulsions stables au moins quatre mois, dans lesquelles la phase externe est organique et la phase interne est aqueuse. Ce but est atteint par le procédé selon l'invention qui consiste à mélanger la phase organique, la phase aqueuse et des additifs à homogénéiser un volume V de liquide comprenant la phase organique et les additifs par mise en circulation de celui-ci à l'intérieur de la capacité d'homogénéisation à un débit Qc tel que le rapport Qc/V >= 100h-1, à faire circuler le liquide homogénéisé dans une boucle de dérivation externe comprenant un système émulseur à un débit Qcirc tel que le rapport V/Qcirc soit compris entre 0 et 2 h, et à alimenter en eau la boucle de dérivation en amont du système émulseur, jusqu'à obtenir les caractéristiques souhaitées de stabilité au stockage de l'émulsion. L'invention concerne également le dispositif de mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
