An acid-resistant sulfur material which comprises a modified sulfur prepared by polymerizing sulfur with a sulfur modifying agent and an aggregate, wherein the aggregate comprises Si, and with respect to the weights of Ca, Si and Al contained in the aggregate, the value of CaO/(SiO2+Al2O3) is 0.2 or less; and a method for applying the sulfur material. The acid-resistant sulfur material has an excellent strength and can exhibit excellent performance capabilities with respect to the resistance to corrosion and the retention of appearance, even in a strong acid atmosphere, a high concentration hydrogen sulfide atmosphere or a high concentration sulfur oxidizing bacteria atmosphere.
L'invention concerne un matériau à base de soufre résistant aux acides comprenant un soufre modifié préparé par polymérisation de soufre avec un agent modificateur du soufre et un agrégat, l'agrégat comprenant du Si, et, par rapport aux masses du Ca, du Si et de l'Al contenu dans l'agrégat, la valeur de CaO/(SiO¿2?+Al¿2?O¿3?) est inférieure ou égale à 0,2. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'application correspondant. Le matériau à base de soufre résistant aux acides présente une excellente résistance et peut présenter d'excellentes propriétés de résistance à la corrosion et de conservation d'aspect, y compris dans une atmosphère hautement acide, une atmosphère à teneur élevée en sulfure d'hydrogène ou une atmosphère à teneur élevée en bactéries oxydant le soufre.
