The invention provides apparatuses and techniques for controlling flow between a manifold and two or more connecting microchannels. Flow between plural connecting microchannels, that share a common manifold, can be made more uniform by the use of flow straighteners (1st section) and distributors (2nd section) that equalize flow in connecting channels. Alternatively, flow can be made more uniform by sections of narrowed diameter within the channels. Methods of making apparatus and methods of conducting unit operations in connecting channels are also described.
Appareils et techniques permettant de réguler le flux entre un collecteur et deux microconduits de raccordement ou plus. Le flux entre plusieurs microconduits de raccordement qui partagent un collecteur commun peut être rendu plus uniforme par l'utilisation de redresseurs de flux (première section) et de distributeurs (seconde section) qui égalisent le flux dans les conduits de raccordement. Alternativement, le flux peut être rendu plus uniforme par des sections de diamètre rétréci à l'intérieur des conduits. Des procédés de fabrication desdits appareils et des procédés permettant d'effectuer des opérations unitaires dans des conduits de raccordement sont également décrits.
