Disclosed is a resin composition for a solar cell-sealing material, which enables the improvement in initial conver-sion efficiency of a solar cell module, the prevention of the deterioration in transparency of a resin, the prevention of the deteriora-tion in adhesion to a protective member as time elapsed, and the prevention of the reduction in conversion efficiency. The resin composition comprises an ethylene copolymer and at least one substance selected from (i) a compound represented by formula (1), (ii) a burned product of the substance (i), (iii) a compound represented by formula (2) and (iv) a burned product of the sub-stance (iii). The substance (i) has an average plate surface diameter of 0.01 to 0.9 µm and a refractive index of 1.45 to 1.55, and the substance (iii) has an average plate surface diameter of 0.02 to 0.9 µm and a refractive index of 1.48 to 1.6. Mg1-a.cndot.Al a(OH)2.cndot.An n-a/n.cndot.bH2O .multidot. formula (1) (0.2 <= a <= 0.35, 0 <= b <= 1, An: an anion having a valency of n) (M c Mg1-c)1-d.cndot.Al d(OH)2.cndot.Bm m-d/ m.cndot.eII2O .multidot. formula (2) (M represents a metal selected from Ni, Zn and Ca, 0.2 <= c <= 1, 0.2 <= d <= 0.4, 0 <= e <= 4, Bm: an anion hav-ing a valency of m)
