A method of making tooling includes: 1) preparing a master model (A) having a first surface, 2) casting a thin-skinned mould (B) from the first surface of the master model, 3) fabricating a bolster (C) in contact with the thin- skinned mould, 4) removing the bolster (C) and the thin-skinned (B) mould from the master model, 5) supporting the thin-skinned mould (B) by means of the bolster (C), 6) applying a layer of a calibration material (D) to the thin- skinned mould (B), and 7) casting a matching mould (E) set contra half against the calibration material (D) while the calibration material (D) and the thin- skinned mould are supported by the bolster (C). 8) removing the calibration material (D), 9) casting a rigid skin member (F) after the thin-skinned mould (B) and the matching mould (E). By using the rigid skin member (F), a moulded replica of the first surface of the master model (A) is obtained.
Procédé de fabrication d'un outillage, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les opérations suivantes : 1) préparation d'un modèle-maître (A) présentant une première surface, 2) coulée d'un moule à peau de coulée mince (B) à partir de la première surface du modèle-maître, 3) fabrication d'un châssis (C) en contact avec le moule à peau de coulée mince, 4) le châssis (C) et le moule à peau de coulée mince (B) sont retirés du modèle-maître, 5) ledit moule (B) est supporté au moyen du châssis (C), 6) application d'une couche d'un matériau de calibrage (D) sur le moule à peau de coulée mince (B), et, 7) coulée d'un moule en deux parties (E) contre une moitié, à l'encontre du matériau de calibrage (D), ce dernier (D) et le moule à peau de coulée mince étant supportés par le châssis (C), 8) retrait du matériau de calibrage (D), 9) coulée d'un élément de peau rigide (F) après retrait du moule à peau de coulée mince (B) et du moule en deux parties (E). En utilisant l'élément de peau rigide (F), on obtient une réplique moulée de la première surface du modèle-maître (A).
