A method and apparatus for tracking changes to a set of data stored in association with a first time period in a memory device are provided. Change data indicative that the set of data is to be associated with a second time period is received. The set of data is associated with the second time period, while the association with the first time period is maintained, such that a first visual representation of the set of data can be provided in the first time period and a second visual representation of the set of data can be provided in the second time period. A link between the first visual representation and the second visual representation is provided, the link enabled to indicate that the set of data has been moved to the second time period, thereby preventing receipt of further data to determine the first time period.
