A desensitizing agent for the cleaning and treatment of sensitive teeth is provided in which the essential desensitizing ingredient is an admixture of SnF2 (preferably in an amount of from 0.1 % to 2 % by weight of the composition), and a water soluble or water swellable polyelectrolyte (preferably cross-linked, and preferably in an amount of from 0.1 % to 20 % by weight of the composition). Dentifrice compositions employing the desensitizing agent of the present invention surprisingly exhibit improved physical properties and appearance, as well as excellent organoleptic and flavor release properties.
La présente invention concerne un agent désensibilisant destiné au nettoyage et au traitement de dents sensibles, dans lequel l'ingrédient désensibilisant principal est une addition de SnF2 (de préférence en une quantité allant de 0,1 % à 2 % en poids de la composition), et d'un polyélectrolyte gonflable à l'eau ou hydrosoluble (de préférence réticulé, et en une quantité allant de 0,1 % à 20 % en poids de la composition). Des compositions de dentifrice à base de l'agent désensibilisant de la présente invention montrent de manière surprenante une apparence et des propriétés physiques améliorées, aussi bien que de très bonnes propriétés organoleptique et de libération de l'arôme.
