A crystalline polymorph of a bislulfate salt of a thrombin receptor antagonist compound, which exhibits a powder x-ray diffraction profile substantially the same as that shown in FIG. 1, or which exhibits a differential scanning calorimtery profile substantially the same as that shown in FIG. 3, and is represented by the formula for Compound 2: Chemical formula should be inserted here as it appears on the abstract in paper form. and processes for preparing Compound 2 are disclosed. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the polymorph of the bisulfate salt and at least one excipient or carrier, and methods of using the polymorph of Compound 2 to treat a variety of physiological disorders, such as thrombosis, are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un polymorphe cristallin d'un sel bisulfate d'un composé antagoniste de récepteur de thrombine lequel présente un profil de diffraction de rayons X sur poudres sensiblement identique à celui illustré par la figure 1, ou lequel présente un profil de calorimétrie à balayage différentiel sensiblement identique à celui illustré dans la figure 3, et lequel est représenté par la formule (1) pour le composé 2, et des procédés de préparation du composé 2. L'invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant le polymorphe du sel bisulfate ainsi qu'au moins un excipient ou un vecteur et des procédés d'utilisation du polymorphe de composé 2 pour traiter divers troubles physiologiques tels que la thrombose.
