An acoustic reflector is described comprising a shell around a core, in which portions of the shell are capable of transmitting acoustic waves incident on the shell into the core to be focused and reflected from an area of the shell located opposite to the area of incidence of the acoustic waves to provide a reflected acoustic signal output from the reflector. Incident acoustic radiation will be differentially reflected depending on the portion of the reflector on which the incident acoustic radiation impinges.
La présente invention concerne un réflecteur acoustique comprenant une enveloppe autour d'une âme, des parties de l'enveloppe étant capables de transmettre des ondes acoustiques incidentes sur l'enveloppe dans l'âme pour être focalisées et réfléchies depuis une zone de l'enveloppe située à l'opposé de la zone d'incidence des ondes acoustiques afin de donner une sortie de signal acoustique réfléchi depuis le réflecteur. Un rayonnement acoustique incident est réfléchi de façon différentielle en fonction de la partie du réflecteur sur laquelle ledit rayonnement vient frapper.
