An agent which acts on a molecule expressed specifically in cancer cells, which can induce the inhibition of the growth of cancer cells, and which is safe. More specifically, a neutralizing antibody directed against a protein having an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 or a partial peptide of the protein or a salt of the protein or partial peptide; and a prophylactic/therapeutic agent for cancer (e.g., breast, ovarian, colorectal, lung or pancreatic cancer), an apoptosis enhancer, a growth inhibitor for cancer cells, an antagonist of DDR1 or the like comprising the neutralizing antibody.
L~invention concerne un agent qui agit sur une molécule exprimée spécifiquement dans les cellules cancéreuses, qui peut induire l'inhibition de la croissance des cellules cancéreuses et qui est sans danger. Elle concerne plus spécifiquement, un anticorps neutralisant dirigé contre une protéine ayant une séquence d'acides aminés identique ou substantiellement identique à la séquence d'acides aminés représentée dans SEQ ID NO:1, 3, 5, 7 ou 9 ou un peptide partiel de la protéine ou un sel de la protéine ou du peptide partiel ; et un agent prophylactique/thérapeutique pour le cancer (par exemple, cancer du sein, ovarien, colorectal, du poumon ou pancréatique), un activateur de l'apoptose, un inhibiteur de la croissance des cellules cancéreuses, un antagoniste de DDR1 ou similaire comprenant l~anticorps neutralisant.
