REMOVAL OF AN ALKALI METAL COMPOUND FROM A POLYMER CEMENT The invention provides a process for removing an alkali metal compound from a polymer cement comprising: i) washing the polymer cement with a weak acid to remove the alkali metal compound from the polymer cement; ii) removing the alkali metal compound from the acid; and iii) recycling the acid to wash more polymer cement.
