The invention provides an electrical connector (10) comprising an insulating body (12), forming a contact body having a plane horizontal upper face (16), and elastically deformable longitudinal contact blades each comprising a contact end (30) which has the overall shape of an inverted spoon in order to define a contact region (88) which is curved about two axes, a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, in order to define at least one lateral face (80) of the spoon (30) which extends downwards towards the upper face (16) of the insulating body (12), characterized in that the said lateral face (80) of the contact spoon (30) is an approximately plane face which is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane of the upper face (16) of the insulating body (12) in order to form a ramp with which an edge of the card is capable of engaging when it is being put into place in the read-write device (94).
