A two component laminated multilayer film suitable for use in packaging articles such as pet food comprises: I. a first component comprising: (A) an outer first film layer comprising ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; (B) an optional second film layer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymer, anhydride-modified ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer, anhydride-modified ethylene/ester copolymer, acid-modified ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer, and acid-modified ethylene/acid copolymer; (C) an optional third film layer comprising ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; and II. a non heat-shrinkable second component laminated to said first component, said second component comprising: (D) an outer fourth film layer which comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymer; (E) a fifth film layer which serves as an O2-barrier layer between the third film layer and the fourth film layer, selected from PVDC, EVOH, polyalkylene carbonate, polyacrylonitrile, polyamide, and polyester; (F) a sixth film layer between the fourth film layer and the fifth film layer, serving as a first tie layer; and (G) a seventh film layer which is between the third film layer and the fifth film layer, the seventh film layer serving as a second tie layer; wherein the multilayer film is sealable to at least one member selected from the group consisting of itself and another film; and wherein a surface of said second component is heat sealable to itself as well as to said layer (A) of said first component.
Film stratifié multicouche comportant deux constituants et servant à emballer des articles tels que des produits alimentaires pour animaux. Ce film comprend: I. un premier constituant composé: (A) d'une première couche extérieure comprenant un copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine; (B) d'une deuxième couche éventuelle comprenant au moins un élément sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un copolymère d'éthylène/ester unsaturé, un copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine modifié par anhydride, un copolymère d'éthylène/ester modifié par anhydride, un copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine modifié par acide, un copolymère d'éthylène/acide modifié par acide; (C) d'une troisième couche éventuelle comprenant un copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine; II. un deuxième constituant non thermorétrécissant stratifié sur ledit premier constituant et composé: (D) d'une quatrième couche extérieure contenant au moins un élément sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine et un copolymère d'éthylène/ester insaturé; (E) d'une cinquième couche servant de barrière contre O¿2? entre la troisième et la quatrième couche, sélectionnée dans PVDC, EVOH, polyalkylène carbonate, polyacrylonitrile, polyamide et polyester; (F) d'une sixième couche placée entre la quatrième et cinquième couche et servant d'une première couche de liaison; (G) d'une septième couche placée entre la troisième et la cinquième couche et servant de deuxième couche de liaison. Ce film multicouche peut être scellé à au moins un élément sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par lui-même et un autre film. Une surface dudit deuxième constituant peut être thermoscellée à elle-même, ainsi qu'à ladite couche (A) dudit premier constituant.
