WASTE RECOVERY DRUM Abstract of the Invention A drum for storing and transporting liquids comprising a pallet portion and a container portion is disclosed. The container portion defines an enclosed volume and has an inlet and an outlet as well as a reservoir portion extending therefrom. The outlet is located in the reservoir portion. The pallet portion receives therein the container portion and the reservoir portion and hasmeans for securely retaining the container portion in the pallet portion. The pallet portion further has means for receiving a portion of a lifting apparatus therein for lifting the drum and means for permitting access to the outlet in the reservoir portion through the pallet portion. The pallet portion has a hollow with predetermined dimensions, whereas the container portion has predetermined dimensions that are complementary to those of the hollow so that the container portion may be inserted into and engaged by the pallet portion, preferably in a snap-lock manner. The container portion further has a recessed top portion having a cap with a venting valve. The drum also preferably comprises interlocking means so that the drums may be stacked one upon the other without encountering any movement therebetween that might otherwise cause toppling thereof.
