Disclosed is a tube for use in a medical fluid passage switching apparatus for carrying out a series of fluid passage switching actions of a plurality of tubes connected to each other at one end. The tube is decreased in diameter and/or thinned in a wall at a region where a cam of the apparatus or a combination of the cam and a clamp of the apparatus is engaged with the tube by closing and opening the tube as compared with a region where the tube is not engaged with the cam or the combination of the cam and the clamp. The tube allows for minimization of the overall size and reduction in the number of components of the apparatus while maintaining the desired fluid flow. Furthermore, the tube minimizes the strength required for actuating the cam to close the tube and minimizes damage to the tube.
