A dental prosthesis foundation capable of being finished or adjusted or repaired and which may be assembled and adjusted to variable jaw ridge sizes, and formed with self-curing hardened resins. The foundation supports prosthetic teeth and is permanently but removably secured to the jaw by implants embedded in hard dental tissue, such as tooth stubs or bones. The dentures can be readily repaired or adjusted for changes in the jaw of the patient, by chairside techniques available to dentists. The foundation can also be adjusted to changes in size and shape of ridges in the jawbones for more comfortable use of the dentures secured on such prostheses, by utilizing spheroidal or ovoidal locking caps preferably initially formed of non-adherent polymers.
La présente invention concerne une fondation de prothèse dentaire qui peut être finie ou réglée ou réparée et qui peut être assemblée et réglée à des crêtes de mâchoire variables et, formée avec des résines autodurcissantes. Cette fondation supporte de prothèses de dent et est fixée de manière permanente et de manière amovible à la mâchoire par des implants intégrés dans le tissu dentaire dur, tels qu'une racine ou des os. Ces prothèses peuvent être immédiatement réparées ou réglées du fait de modifications survenues dans la mâchoire du patient, par des techniques qui peuvent être mises en oeuvre chez les dentistes. Cette fondation peut aussi être réglée par rapport à des modifications de taille et de forme de crêtes dans les os de la mâchoire pour une utilisation plus confortable de ces prothèses fixées sur cette fondation prothétique, via l'utilisation de bouchons de verrouillage sphéroïdes ou ovoïdes de préférence formés au départ de polymères non adhérants.
