ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Polymer scale preventive aqent and method of preventing polymer scale deposition using it A polymer scale preventive agent for use in polymerization of a particular monomer having an ethylenic double bond and having a high dissolving power against the conven- tional scale preventive coatings such as styrene, .alpha.- methylstyrene and acrylates, comprising: (A) an aromatic compound having at least one group selected from the class consisting of primary, secondary and tertiary amino groups and the quaternary ammonium group and/or a dye having at least one group selected from said class, and (B) at least one compound selected from the gxoup con- sisting of alkali metal salts and ammonium salts of a polyvinylsulfuric acid. The agent is coated on the inner wall surfaces, etc. of a polymerization vessel. Polymer scale deposition can be effectively prevented.
