An improved method to treat conditions of the eye characterized by ocular neovascularization is provided in which patients are given and initial photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatment to destroy the neovasculature, and then are re-evaluated at least twice during the following 6 months, and retreated as necessary. Preferably, three retreatments are provided.

L'invention concerne un méthode de traitement de troubles de l'oeil caractérisés par une néovascularisation oculaire. Selon ladite méthode, on donne à des patients un traitement thérapeutique photodynamique initial afin de détruire la néovasculature, et puis, on les ré-évalue au moins deux fois au cours des six mois suivants et on les traite en subséquent. Cette invention a, de préférence, trait à trois traitements postérieurs.
