A method for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a tumour in a subject is provided. The method comprises the steps of administering a thera-peutically effective amount of a composition compris-ing an anti- tumour agent and a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising 5-[2-pyrazinyl]-4- methyl-1,2-3-thione, or an analogue, derivative, metabolite, prodrug, solvate or pharmaceutically ac-ceptable salt thereof to the subject. Examples of anti-tu-mour agents for use in the method of the invention are platinum-based agents, such as cisplatin, and mono-clonal antibodies, such Cetuximab. Also provided are compositions comprising an anti-tumour agent and 5- [2-pyrazinyl]-4-methyl-1,2-3-thione, or an analogue, derivative, metabolite, prodrug, solvate or pharmaceuti-cally acceptable salt thereof.

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la prophylaxie et/ou le traitement d'une tumeur chez un sujet. Le procédé consiste à administrer au sujet une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'une composition renfermant un agent anti-tumoral et une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'une composition renfermant de la 5-[2-pyrazinyl]-4-méthyl-1,2-3-thione, ou un analogue, dérivé, métabolite, promédicament, solvate ou sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable correspondant. Des exemples d'agents anti-tumoraux pour une utilisation dans le procédé de l'invention sont des agents à base de platine, tels que le cisplatine, et des anticorps monoclonaux, tels que le cétuximab. L'invention porte également sur des compositions renfermant un agent anti-tumoral et de la 5-[2-pyrazinyl]-4-méthyl-1,2-3-thione, ou un analogue, dérivé, métabolite, promédicament, solvate ou sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable correspondant.
