The invention relates to a method for cancer detection, progression analysis and malign tumour prognosis based on the study of metabolic markers of the cell. The inventive method consists in using the study of the protein expression of the bioenergetic function of the mitochondrion, such as the .beta.-catalytic subunit of the H+-ATP synthase, in relation to structural proteins and mitochondrial respiration, such as hsp 60 and cytochrome oxidase subunits I and IV respectively, and said mitochondrial bioenergetic index, (ratio of .beta.-ATPasa/hsp60; .beta.-ATPasa/COX I; .beta.-ATPasa/COX IV) which relates to the cellular protein expression of the glycolytic pathway, such as glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase and pyruvate kinase M, in order to generate the bioenergetic index of the cell.

L'invention concerne un procédé de détection du cancer, d'analyse de la progression et de pronostic de tumeurs malignes basé sur l'étude de marqueurs métaboliques de la cellule. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser l'étude de l'expression de protéines de la fonction bioénergétique de la mitochondrie, telle que la sous-unité catalytique ? de la H?+¿-ATP syntase, par rapport aux protéines structurelles et de la respiration mythocondriale, telles que la hsp 60 et cytochrome oxydase sous-unités I et IV, respectivement, et cet indice bioénergétique mythocondrial, (ratio de concentration ?-ATPase/hsp60; ?-ATPase/COX I; ?-ATPase/COX IV) qui se rapporte à l'expression cellulaire de protéines de la voie glucolitique, telles que glycéraldéhyde-3-phosphate déshydrogénase et pyruvate kinase M, pour générer l'indice bioénergétique de la cellule.
