A method and apparatus for handling a complaint and associated response in a computer by way of a telecommunications network is provided. The complaint handling method includes the steps of receiving a complaint (202), notifying the subject of the complaint (210), receiving a response to the complaint from the subject, and storing the complaint and associated response on a publicly accessible computer bulletin board (208).
