The present invention relates to a method for producing a heterologous secreted protein from transformed CHO cells grown on microcarriers in a serum- free cell culture medium. This method avoids a production lag phase when switching from a serum-containing to a serum-free environment, a problem observed in the mammalian adherent cell culture production of secreted proteins.

L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de produire une protéine sécrétée hétérologue issue de cellules CHO transformées cultivées dans des microsupports dans un milieu de culture cellulaire dépourvu de sérum. Ce procédé permet d'éviter la phase initiale de production lorsqu'on passe d'un milieu contenant du sérum à un milieu dépourvu de sérum, problème déjà observé dans la production de protéines sécrétées dans la culture de cellules mammaliennes adhérentes.
