The invention concerns a tyre (1) with radial carcass reinforcement (2) comprising a crown reinforcement consisting of at least two working crown plies (41, 42) of inextensible reinforcing elements, crossed from one ply to the next forming with the circumferential direction angles ranging between 10° and 45°, itself radially capped with a running tread, the tyre further comprising at least in each shoulder a layer (43) of circumferentially oriented reinforcing elements having a corrugation, the axially inner end of said additional layer being radially adjacent the edge of a working crown ply (42), the axially outer end of said additional layer being located at a distance from the equatorial plane of the tyre not less than the distance separating from said plane the end of the working crown ply to which it is adjacent and the distance between said layer and the end of the axially widest working crown ply (41) is greater than 1.5 mm.

Pneumatique (1) a armature de carcasse radiale (2) comprenant une armature de sommet (4) formée d'au moins deux couches de sommet de travail (41, 42) d'éléments de renforcement inextensibles, croisés d'une nappe à l'autre en faisant avec la direction circonférentielle des angles compris entre 10~ et 45~, elle-même coiffée radialement d'une bande de roulement, le pneumatique comprenant additionnellement au moins dans chaque épaule une couche (43) d'éléments de renforcement, orientés circonférentiellement et présentant une ondulation, l'extrémité axialement intérieure de ladite couche additionnelle étant radialement adjacente au bord d'une couche de sommet de travail (42), l'extrémité axialement extérieure de ladite couche additionnelle étant située à une distance du plan équatorial du pneumatique au moins égale à la distance séparant dudit plan l'extrémité de la couche de travail à laquelle elle est adjacente et la distance entre ladite couche et l'extrémité de la couche de sommet de travail (41) axialement la plus large étant supérieure à 1.5 mm.
