Jacques LALLEMENT et Guy PARC PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne des compositions polysulfurées de corps gras ou d'esters d'acides (poly)insaturés obtenues par un procédé qui comprend notamment: - une étape (1) dans laquelle on fait réagir au moins un corps gras insaturé et/ou au moins un ester d'acide carboxylique (poly)insaturé, en présence ou non d'une monooléfine aliphatique, avec au moins un composé choisi parmi le monochlorure et le dichlorure de soufre, formant ainsi un produit d'addition ou "adduct" '; - une étape (2) dans laquelle on fait réagir de l'hydrogéne sulfuré et/ou un mercaptan avec un hydroxyde alcalin ou de l'hydroxyde d'ammonium dans un monoalcool alipha- tique substantiellement anhydre; - une étape (3) dans laquelle on met en contact ledit adduct et éventuellement un composé hydrocarboné monohalogèné, avec la solution alcoolique obtenue à l'issue de l'étape (2); - une étape (4) dans laquelle on élimine le monoalcool par distillation sous pression réduite. Ces compositions sont utilisées comme additifs pour lubrifiants minéraux ou synthétiques.
