The invention relates to a large-capacity container in the form of a standard ISO container usable to transport loose goods or the like over long, medium and short distances. In order to combine the economic advantages of a roll-off container preferably used for medium and short journeys with those of a stackable standard ISO container for long-distance transport, means are proposed by means of which the standard ISO container can also be used as a roll-off container while still retaining the stackability of the container. Thus a pivoting and adjustable-height support bracket (29) for a stacking hook is fitted and there are rollers (12) rotatably mounted on pivoting arms (11) at the rear end of the container which, like the support bracket (29), extend beyond the standard container dimensions in the extended position and are located therewithin in the withdrawn position. In addition, the container (1) has slide rails (3; 4) and fork recesses (30; 31) fitted to the container base.

L'invention concerne un conteneur de transport de grande capacité se présentant sous la forme d'un conteneur normalisé ISO, pouvant être utilisé pour transporter des matériaux en vrac ou analogues sur des distances longues, moyennes ou courtes. Afin de combiner les avantages d'ordre économique offerts par des conteneurs mobiles, utilisés de préférence pour des transports sur des distances moyennes et courtes, avec ceux offerts par des conteneurs normalisés ISO empilables, utilisés pour les transports sur longue distance, il est proposé d'utiliser des moyens grâce auxquels le conteneur normalisé ISO peut également être utilisé en tant que conteneur mobile, tout en conservant son aptitude à l'empilage. Ainsi, le conteneur est pourvu d'un arceau de support (29) réglable en hauteur destiné à un crochet d'empilage, et il comporte, à son extrémité arrière, des galets de support (12) montés rotatifs sur des bras pivotants (11) qui, comme l'arceau de support (29), dépassent les dimensions d'un conteneur normalisé, et qui, en position rétractée, ne dépassent pas les dimensions d'un conteneur normalisé. En outre, le conteneur (1) comporte, sur sa base, des rails de coulissement (3; 4) et des entrées de fourche (30; 31).
