Prosthesis holder (1) made of a transparent radiological material for disc prosthesis (2) constituted of at least two mobile parts in relation to one another, comprising, on one side a coupling element (9) to a sleeve and on the opposite side, a reversible coupling element to a disc prosthesis, wherein the reversible coupling element is orientated so as to allow the decoupling, by simple traction performed perpendicularly to a spinal cord when the disc prosthesis has been well impacted between two vertebrae and the force retained from the reversible coupling element on the disc prosthesis is adjusted so as to prevent the decoupling by simple traction when the disc prosthesis has not been well impacted, and a unit comprising a prosthesis holder and a disc prosthesis.
