This invention describes a heterogeneous metal bearing material, comprising a host material composed of primary particles agglomerated into secondary particles, and a particulate dopant material, characterised in that the particulate dopant material is homogeneously distributed within the secondary particles of said host material. In particular, the dopant material is Ti02 and the host material is either one or a mixture of Ni x Mn y Co2 hydroxide, oxyhydroxide, and oxide, with 0<= x, y, z <= 1, and x+y+z = 1.

L'invention porte sur un matériau hétérogène contenant du métal et comprenant un matériau hôte fait de particules primaires agglomérées en particules secondaires, et un matériau dopant particulaire réparti de manière homogène dans lesdites particules secondaires. Le matériau dopant est du TiO2, et le matériau hôte, est un mélange d'hydroxyde, d'oxyhydroxyde, et d'oxyde de NixMnyCo2 avec 0 = x, y, z = 1, et x+y+z = 1.
