The present application provides a ristocetin cofactor test reagent and uses and kits thereof. In particular, the application provides a liquid preparation of fixed platelets obtained by a method of incubating the platelets with a serine protease inhibitor, fixing the platelets, and suspending the platelets in an aqueous solution which does not contain any ristocetin or snake venom."
