2108776 9317323 PCTABS00025 The electrode described comprises a wire (1) surrounded by insulation (3) and made of a metal which is more electropositive than the reinforcement metal. The electrically active part of the wire (1) is in electrolytic contact with the moisture in the concrete, while the insulation (3) is disposed along the whole of the electrically active part of the wire (1) in such a way that the insulation keeps this part of the wire separated from the reinforcement and galvanically insulated from it.
