Novel methods are disclosed for the enhanced expression and secretion of lactase from filamentous fungi. Specifically the novel processes cause enhanced production of lactase from an Aspergillus and preferably enhanced production of A. oryzae lactase from A. oryzae host strains transformed with necessary DNA. Also described are the DNA sequence encoding the lactase gene from A. oryzae and the deduced amino acid sequence of the lactase therefrom.

Nouveaux procédés favorisant l'expression et la sécrétion de lactase à partir de champignons filamenteux. Spécifiquement, lesdits nouveaux procédé permettent d'accroître la production de lactase à partir d'un Aspergillus et de préférence d'accroître la production de lactase tirée de A. oryzae à partir de souches hôtes de A. oryzae transformées à l'aide de l'ADN nécessaire. Une séquence d'ADN codant le gène de lactase de A. oryzae et la séquence déduite d'acides aminés de la lactase provenant de A. oryzae sont également décrites.
