Case 5857 RDF/dka 09/06/89 SEPARATION OF FLUIDS USING POLYIMIDESILOXANE MEMBRANE Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a method of separating a first fluid from a mixture with a second fluid by placing the mixture in contact with a polyimidesiloxane membrane. The first fluid preferentially passes through the membrane, thereby separating the fluids. The polyimidesiloxane can be blended with 40 to 99 weight percent polyetherketone. Also disclosed is a fluid separating module comprising a polyimidesiloxane membrane, means for placing a mixture of fluids in contact with only one side of the membrane, and means for collecting fluid that passes through the membrane.
