Methods and apparatus for sealing a puncture or incision formed percutaneously in tissue separating two internal portions of the body of a living being with an anchor, a sealing plug and a filament connecting the anchor and sealing plug are disclosed. The methods and apparatus provide for automatic tamping of the sealing plug. In addition, a scroll gearset changes gear ratio as it transduces a retraction force into a sealing plug tamping force.

L'invention porte sur: des méthodes et un appareil de fermeture d'une ponction ou d'une incision formée par voie percutanée dans un tissu en séparant deux partie internes du corps d'un être vivant par une ancre; sur un obturateur; et sur un filament reliant l'ancre à l'obturateur. Les méthodes et l'appareil assurent la mise en place automatique de l'obturateur. En outre, un système d'engrenage à spirale change de rapport alors qu'il transforme une force de rétraction en une force de mise en place de l'obturateur.
