A photo insert page for a photo album comprising a back panel with a spacer mounted thereon and having a photo receiving aperture, a first mat overlies the spacer and has an overhang portion overhanging the photo receiving aperture for holding a second mat. The second mat having a photo viewing aperture, overlying and securely holding a photo unto the back panel. The second mat may comprise tabs on its outer peripheral edge which are removably placed beneath the overhang portion to be held thereby. The second mat may have a quadrilateral configuration and comprise deformable regions on one pair of opposite side portions which can be curved for moving the other pair of opposite side portions closer to each other to disengage the second mat from the first mat overhang portion.
