In a system and method to build a project management process (500) standard project management tools are used to design traditional project management tasks. These tasks are converted and mapped to workflow process definitions. The repetitive activities may be predefined in the workflow and mapped appropriately to the tasks as one or more predefined process definitions, each of which may be composed of other predefined process definitions. The resulting workflow process definitions are adapted to form the project management process suitable to be executed in a workflow engine.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de construction d'un processus de gestion de projets, faisant appel à des instruments de gestion de projets standard permettant de concevoir des tâches de gestion de projets classiques. Ces tâches sont transformées et mises en correspondance avec des définitions de processus de flux de travaux. Les activités répétitives peuvent être prédéfinies dans le flux de travaux et mises en correspondance adéquatement avec les tâches sous forme d'au moins une définition de processus prédéfinie, chacune desquelles peut être composée d'autres définitions de processus prédéfinies. Les définitions de procédé de flux de travaux obtenues sont adaptées de façon à former le processus de gestion de projets approprié pour être exécuté dans un moteur de flux de travaux.
