A load carrier for automobile vehicle comprising a frame adapted for attachment on top of a vehicle, said frame comprising a set of substantially parallel telescopic members, a carriage pivotally mounted along an axis substantially parallel to the telescopic member plane and perpendicular to said members and slidingly mounted to said telescopic members to allow axial movement of said carriage along said telescopic members.
