An exemplary fireplace glass panel system is configured to facilitate access to the interior portion of a glass panel in a direct vent gas fireplace. The fireplace glass panel system comprises: a fireplace; a firebox, having an opening, disposed within the fireplace; a panel configured to cover the firebox opening; an actuation mechanism configured to permit the panel to pivot about a pivot axis on one side of the panel, the actuation mechanism further comprising a linkage configured to guide the rotation of the panel about the pivot axis and to stop the rotation about the pivot axis at an open position; wherein the actuation mechanism is configured to facilitate access to the interior portion of the panel without removing the panel from the firebox; and a securing mechanism configured to secure the panel in a closed position when access to the firebox interior is not desired.
L'invention concerne un système représentatif de panneau en verre pour cheminée, configuré de façon à faciliter l'accès à la partie intérieure d'un panneau en verre dans une cheminée à gaz à ventilation directe. Le système de panneau en verre pour cheminée comporte : une cheminée ; un foyer, muni d'une ouverture et disposé à l'intérieur de la cheminée ; un panneau configuré de façon à recouvrir l'ouverture du foyer ; un mécanisme d'actionnement configuré de façon à permettre au panneau de pivoter autour d'un axe de pivotement situé sur un côté du panneau, le mécanisme d'actionnement comportant en outre une transmission configurée de façon à guider la rotation du panneau autour de l'axe de pivotement et à arrêter la rotation autour de l'axe de pivotement dans une position ouverte ; le mécanisme d'actionnement étant configuré de façon à faciliter l'accès à la partie intérieure du panneau sans démonter le panneau du foyer ; et un mécanisme de verrouillage configuré de façon à verrouiller le panneau dans une position fermée lorsqu'on ne souhaite pas accéder à l'intérieur du foyer.
