ABSTRACT A tree protector is disclosed which is characterized by an elongate sheet of material adapted to be placed along the ground, which is joined at its end to form a closed loop about the tree. An accordion pleated central portion is provided between the ends to maintain the protector close to the tree and permits expansion of the protector as the tree grows.
